كشف رئيس أركان الجيش الفريق أول الركن عثمان الغانمي، عن خطط لإعادة هيكلية القوات الأمنية لمرحلة مابعد هزيمة عصابات داعش الارهابية.

وجاء ذلك خلال استقباله في مكتبه بمقر وزارة الدفاع اليوم الملحق العسكري الفرنسي في العراق العقيد كريكوري ميدينا، بمناسبة انتهاء مهام عمله في العراق.

وذكر بيان للوزارة ، أن الغانمي عبر خلال اللقاء “عن تقديره للموقف الفرنسي المشرف والفاعل في التحالف الدولي من خلال تقديم الدعم والإسناد في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها العراق،” مؤكداً إن “فرنسا ستبقى الصديقة الحاضرة في ضمائرنا وبين إننا ماضون في محاربة الإرهاب المتمثل بعصابات داعش الإرهابية، ولدينا خطط عمل إستراتيجية لما بعد داعش مع دول التحالف؛ لإعادة هيكلية القوات الأمنية وتسليحها وتدريبها لأخذ دورها الحقيقي في حفظ حدود العراق وسيادته”.

من جانبه أعرب الملحق العسكري الفرنسي عن “فخره واعتزازه وشكره للقادة والمسؤولين العراقيين عن فترة عمله في العراق”.

وأكد على “ضرورة زيادة التعاون والعمل على تطوير العلاقات بين البلدين خاصة في الجانب العسكري, وكما هنأ بالانتصارات المتحققة للجيش العراقي ضد داعش الإرهابي”.
